Eat Delicious Food for a Better World

Virtual Presentation

Hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County

Learn how to use your exquisite senses and deepest instincts to ensure that you’re eating the most delicious and healthy food for yourself and for the planet. Both nutrition and climate science are finding that the ultraprocessed foods and factory-produced meat that we have been chowing down for the last 70 years spell disaster for our bodies and for the planet. Food engineers have developed fake food that that tastes so real it tricks our bodies into thinking we’re getting nutrition. When we don’t get the expected nutrients, we keep eating and eating. When offered engineered chicken food, free-range chickens stay inside and eat it until they can’t stand up. Sound familiar? The alternative is both joyful and sustaining. Really! We’ll share how easy, and even fun, it can be to transition your meals and snacks using our on-line collection of illustrated, step-by-step, free-style recipes. Taught by cookbook author and Healthy Cooking Instructor Maria Reidelbach.
