Kingston residents are invited to drop off used refrigerant containing appliances for proper recycling and disposal, free of charge. White Goods/ Refrigerants Collection accepted: Window air conditioners, dehumidifiers, wine coolers, refrigerators and freezers. All refrigerants will be properly tracked, recovered and recycled, and the unit components will be properly disposed of. This is an important part of Kingston's Refrigerant Management Program. Refrigerants are the #1 most potent greenhouse gas, it is critical that we properly dispose of them to mitigate emissions; this event specially waives the normal disposal fee of $35 per unit.
