Greening a Golf Course to Meet the Climate Challenge

Live Indoor and Outdoor Tour

Hosted by Stone Dock Golf Course

Starting with a sunset tour and ending up in our cafe, we will share our many strategies and projects to green Stone Dock, including our use of organic fertilizers, experiments with composts to improve soil health, identification and planting of 320 "trees for tribs" with the NYS DEC to improve the watershed, soil health and habitat and prevent further shoreline erosion, and our studies with new tree species to supplant the losses we will incur with vector-borne illness and climate change. We will end up in the cafe, where we will provide samples of the food we offer that is sourced locally and is based on the seasonal harvest calendar while we review our efforts to upgrade our cafe and restaurant.
